Operations Manager | Agri-Lloyd | Leominster
Are you experienced in agriculture and seeking a new challenge? An excellent opportunity has arisen at Agri-Lloyd for an Operations Manager in Leominster.
Role Summary
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Agri-Lloyd Leominster office and production facility, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standards with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Supervise the Agricultural Business Advisor (ABA) and Warehouse Operatives to ensure promises are delivered to field sales colleagues and customers.
- Accounting Oversight: Manage the Accounts Assistant and Credit Controller, overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank accounts, and account reconciliation.
- Expense Management: Handle employee expense claims, commissions, and bonuses.
- VAT Compliance: Ensure all aspects of VAT are managed effectively.
- Production Monitoring: Adjust production schedules as needed and follow HSE guidance, ensuring PPE and safety requirements are met.
- Staff Motivation: Manage and motivate staff, addressing personal issues, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Manager to maintain quality standards, conduct testing and inspections, and identify raw material failures.
- Training: Train new staff according to company procedures.
- Supplier Relations: Manage key relationships with suppliers.
- Premises Management: Ensure insurance coverage and maintain a safe, tidy working environment.
Occasional Duties
- Present training courses as required.
- Attend staff meetings, potentially involving travel to other sites.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
- Work additional hours occasionally to meet business needs.
